Chapter 22: Sophie Arnez
The air smelled of smoke mixed with rainy air seeping in through the back doors, but tainted by the scent of iron and spilled life. Marcellus lay still, legs tucked in a strange angle nobody could ever maintain. Blood pooled under him. It was starting to drip off the edge of the spotlight walkway like burgundy wax from a forgotten candle. Sophie couldn’t look at the wreckage of his face. His beautiful face.
In Chapter 22 of Mindframe, we start to follow Sophie Arnez as a main character with her own chapters. When we last saw Sophie (AKA Desi), she had just shot Marcellus Ball. A lot. Now, we pick up her story moments after that fatal moment. We also start to see who she really is outside of the Echo Theater that Marcellus creates as his Mindframe. Why did she shoot him?
