Chapter 4 of Mindframe is the beginning of the story arc of Marcellus Ball. Marcellus is the stage manager of a local fine art theater that is currently running a production of Hamlet. As Marcellus does backstage prep with his closest friends, he learns that a girl he longs for went to a recent cast party without her now ex-boyfriend. As he calls the ques to run the show, the empty hall of the theater reflect his own loneliness and longing for the girl he knows as Desi.
